A modern classic, always evolving
Spitfire Symphonic Orchestra isn’t a static instrument - it’s a living, evolving collection. With two significant updates in 2025 alone, we’re continually adding new instruments, enhancing playability and workflow, ensuring your orchestra sounds better with every update.

Our most substantial update yet, with 7.8GB of content, featuring brand new recordings from three fantastic brass ensembles.
Motif Brass:
Our most substantial update yet, with 7.8 GB of meticulously recorded samples from three fantastic brass ensembles: Trumpets a3, Horns a4 and Trombones a5 (3 tenors, 2 basses), for that authentic heroic fanfare typical of Holst’s Mars or classic John Williams.
Featuring a new, Motif Performance Legato that more intelligently responds to your playing, as well as Staccatissimo patches for trumpets and trombones, adding precision, power and realism to your orchestrations.

World-renowned soloists Andrew Haveron, Bruce White and Caroline Dale joined the orchestra in 2025, adding Solo Violin, Viola and Cello, complete with dedicated performance patches for fingered, bowed, and portamento legatos, longs, staccatos, pizzicatos, and harmonics.

The strings in this library captured has been created with 60 of the world's finest strings players — 16 1st violins, 14 2nd violins, 12 violas, 10 cellos & 8 basses — performing over 175 articulations, including nine legato patches, and presented with four versatile microphone positions. Updated in 2025 with new performance patches for 1st and 2nd Violins, Violas, Celli and Basses.
